The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) is holding a specialized workshop on: Enhancing Access to ICT Services in Rural and Urban Areas, March 13-14, in cooperation with GSMA and ITU-Arabic, where the organization of this workshop comes as part of TRC continuous efforts in organizing a series of building capacity activities during its chairmanship of Arab Regulators Network "AREGNET" for the aim of knowledge transfer, with wide participation from AREGNET member states, mobile operators, and concerned local entities.
The workshop intends to highlight and put more focus on the regulatory and technical aspects that would enhance access to ICT services in rural and urban areas. Furthermore, the agenda of the workshop will include a number of presentations including best International practices, Countries experiences, ITU role and related initiatives in the Arab region.
